“In modern America, we often judge success simply by how much money one makes. Hence it appears that our party will select as its presidential nominee a billionaire real-estate mogul; while the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee is a woman who invested $6,000 in cattle futures and then made a (most would say impossible) $100,000 profit in a mere 10 months. However, at one time the American People expected more of their politicians. They expected them to pledge their lives, property and sacred honor – if need be – in the defense of liberty. Go back and look at George Washington’s or Thomas Jefferson’s finances at the end of their lives. By contemporary standards they would be judged as failures. But how many people really believe that Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump are greater than Washington or Jefferson? Because if you do, you not only have a problem with your heart – you have a problem with your soul.”
